Teslarati's NASA’s next Mars rover will pave the way for humans includes the graphic below which is an artists conception of a dust storm on mars. It shows what looks like lightning or some kind of static discharge within a dust cloud.
Question: Have electrostatic discharges within dust storms been detected and quantified somehow on Mars using standard radio communications equipment? Have there also been dedicated receivers or lightning detectors on Mars for this purpose?
